I'm writing this blog so you can find out a bit more about me. My name is Annette, Ive got 2 children, 2 grandchildren and another on the way. I'm a sole trader. I've been running Severn Trophies Engraving & Gifts for over 27 years. Wow that makes me really old doesn't it. Jazz is my border collie who always comes to work with me, he keeps his watchful eye on me as you can see in the photo. Anyway as we all know covid changed so many things for so many people. Being a trophy retailer as you can imagine the demand for trophies for football, rugby, country shows, schools etc died overnight. So I decided that until the business returns (which it is slowly) I needed to do something else to try and keep my head above water. I am still doing the trophies & engraving along side the welsh gifts shop so to any regulars don't worry im not going anywhere i will still be here for you. My other half Gary came up with the idea for me to do a website selling "Welsh Gifts". Six months on and here it is. Dont worry im still doing the trophies & engraving along side this. There are quite a few souvenir type gifts on here but what I do best is engraving photographs onto slate. As I use Welsh slate I thought this would be a great addition to the website. I can work off almost any photograph. Bringing slate to life is one of my favourite pastimes. They make such beautiful unusual gifts too.
